Singer & actress, Christina Milian partnered with her Mom/Manager and her publicist to create a line of wines marketed under the label Viva Diva. Viva Diva Wines produced a Pinot Grigio, a Moscato d’asti, a sweet red, a Prosecco, and six flavored sparkling Moscatos.
While reading a back issue of Food & Beverage Magazine, I came across this recipe that Viva Diva Wines created, using their Mango Moscato, for a delicious Mango BBQ Marinade to spice up your boring grilled chicken breast.
Viva Diva Wines Mango BBQ Marinade
Ingredients
8 chicken breasts (or, any combo of breasts, thighs & legs)
½ bottle Viva Diva Wines (SEE NOTE BELOW) Mango Moscato
1 stick of butter
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon garlic salt
Directions
- Marinate chicken in 1/2 bottle of Moscato for 8 hours.
- Melt one stick of butter in saucepan and add paprika and garlic salt.
- Grill should be hot but on a low setting. Grill chicken for approximately 20 minutes taking care to turn it every 5 minutes or so.
- Begin basting chicken and continue to turn it until sauce is finished or for approximately another 20 minutes.
Serve with chopped Mango on top, your favorite grilled vegetables, rice, and, of course, the remaining Mango Moscato!
** NOTE – Unfortunately, it appears that Viva Diva Wines’ short-lived distribution venture with wine.com has ended, and I could find no other outlet offering their wines. Have no fear, I did find another Mango Moscato to substitute in the recipe: Tropical Mango Moscato that is offered (and in stock) at Total Wine. Viva la #GirlsGoneWine!
Sounds and looks refreshing, a lovely recipe indeed!
